Top of the week
Gay travel to amsterdam
We are in our early 30s and are headed to Amsterdam the second week of November for a week of vacation, then I have to teach a class for a few days. I really don't know what we should try to do. We have 5 full days. We are staying at the Le Meridien Apollo. We enjoy nightclubs, but aren't really hardcore clubbers.

We love visiting Amsterdam. Whether it's for a city break, romantic weekend or a gay party, we always know we're going to have a terrific time. The city is dominated by water, with canals, around bridges, lots of cute narrow cobblestone streets and many many many bicycles! Just like the gay scene of Berlin , Amsterdam is one of the few places in the world where we feel comfortable walking the streets holding hands, or don't feel like we have to look over our shoulders when kissing in public. Reguliersdwarsstraat is the main gay street of Amsterdam.
Isabel Lucas. Age: 31. A beautiful, charming, and unfettered stranger is waiting for you to invite or come to visit yourself to realize all your erotic fantasies!
A Gay Guy's Weekend Guide to Amsterdam
Amsterdam is particularly famous for its Red Light District with promises of sexual pleasure or for its coffee shops with magic brownies and hallucinogen mushrooms. But beyond this hedonistic atmosphere, Amsterdam is surprisingly diverse and a place where there is always something to do. Walk around the Jordaan neighborhood , for example, to discover trendy shops, street art and great coffees especially for foodies, try the apple tart. Another option is to wander around Westergasfabriek, a former industrial complex now dedicated to art galleries, shops and cafes. The De Pijp neigborhood , and the traditional Albert Cuyp market , invite the visitor to try new exotic foods and to wander around the many old-school pubs and hip restaurants.
Amsterdam had been a powerful city of maritime trade fame for many centuries. First of all you got the street with the unpronounceable name, Reguliersdwarsstraat , which is rather mainstream and quite busy at the weekend. Nearby are the Amstel street and Kerkstraat. And finally there are Warmoesstraat and Zeedijk in the center of Amsterdam. The most popular and crowded parties are those which happen monthly or every few months.
