The International Amateur Radio Union IARU is a federation of national associations of certified radio amateurs, representing over countries and separate territories around the world. Representatives from 19 countries participated at the championship. All participants were accommodated at hotel Kaliopa, while competition took part at hotel Dobrudza located at a walking distance of m from Kaliopa. Accommodation and board were good and there were no complains about. The championship gathered total of participants, 90 competitors 30 in female categories and 60 in male categories.

The International Amateur Radio Union IARU is an international confederation of national amateur radio organisations that allows a forum for common matters of concern and collectively represents matters to the International Telecommunication Union ITU.
