Amateur conformation handling trophy
Any member in good standing of the White River Golden Retriever Club who has attended at least three 3 monthly meetings during the calendar year and is current with dues is eligible for award consideration. Points are accumulated for each calendar year, except where noted. Degrees, qualifying legs or conformation achievements won in United Kennel Club and Canadian Kennel Club competitions may receive awards or recognition but do not count towards competitive trophies. All members who receive circulating club competitive trophies must return them to the Awards Chair every December so that they may be engraved for the next Awards ceremony. Official White River score sheets must be filled out completely and submitted to the club Award's Chairperson by December 31 in order to be eligible for competitive trophies or crate tags for that year.

Trophies - Conformation
A conformation show , also referred to as a breed show , is a kind of dog show in which a judge familiar with a specific dog breed evaluates individual purebred dogs for how well the dogs conform to the established breed type for their breed, as described in a breed's individual breed standard. Such shows are useful to breeders as a means of evaluating dogs for breeding purposes. A conformation championship from a recognized national kennel club is generally considered a reasonably objective indication of merit, as it indicates that the dog has been found to be a superior example of its breed by some number of different judges on some number of separate occasions.
